At a high school in Florida, the class is still full.
But the parents are trying to make sure they’re prepared.
“The goal is to get kids through school and be ready to go to college,” said Dr. Elizabeth Miller, an assistant professor at the College of Health Sciences at LSU.
“If they get through the year without having any problems, they can do whatever they want.”
And they do have a lot of things to get through.
Students have a long list of classes they’ve to pass, from English to math to science.
“That’s something that they’ve learned,” Miller said.
“We’re going to keep doing this, we’re going be prepared.”
Students have a huge number of exams, including SATs and ACTs.
The majority of those tests are for high school seniors.
And with students graduating from college with degrees, there are plenty of opportunities for them to work toward their degrees, too.
“You can go to the university for a master’s degree, and that’s going to be a career path,” Miller explained.
“If you want to go into a law school, you can go into law school,” Miller added.
“It’s a great opportunity for them.”
But even with that, Miller said some students will find it difficult to get a degree.
And that can lead to the frustration of not being able to afford it.
“I would say, for some, it’s a difficult time,” she said.
“So the whole system, from the teacher to the school district to the student to the parents, they have to figure out a way for that to work.””
So what are parents doing to prepare their kids for the new normal?””

“We’re trying to get them ready,” Miller emphasized.
“Our parents don’t feel like they have any control over the situation.”
Students and parents at the Milton High School in Florida are working together to find a way forward after an unusually busy school year.
The students, most of whom are students from the community, are working with a school psychologist to help them cope with the changes.
But the school is not giving up.
The teachers have been working with parents to find new ways to prepare students.
The school board has been working on a new curriculum, including the introduction of science.
And students are trying out some new social media and video games, which will help them be more creative.
The school has even started a special class called “Basketball in the Classroom,” in which students will work on team play, shoot 3-pointers and take notes on their favorite team.
